Winter edition
Warm doesn’t have to mean stiff.
Most winter toddler shoes are boots: thick, rigid soles and narrow toes. Their feet still need to bend in December.
Winter boots
Built for snow, not for learning to walk.
- Rigid sole that barely bends
- Too hot and bulky to wear indoors
- Zips and straps they can’t do alone
Little Steps Winter Edition

Notes from parents.
4.3 out of 5 from parents
Jess M.
His old shoes were so stiff he walked like a little robot. In these he just walks. Six steps to his dad the first week.
Before: stiff soles, robot walking
Danielle R.
Finally something she can't kick off in the car seat. Runs a little snug, so size up if you're in between.

No more sliding on our hardwood floors. He grips and goes now. Two washes in, they still look new.

On in five seconds, even mid-squirm. I wanted more colors, but the Pearl ones won me over.
Before: a fight to put shoes on
Kelsey B.
Soft, and she walks well in them. The toes scuffed fast at daycare, so they're our at-home pair now.
Before: sweaty feet in sneakers
Ana L.
Bought them for his first birthday. The box alone made my mom tear up. Now he runs to the door.
Before: wobbly in hard-sole shoes

Expert view
Recommended by a pediatric foot specialist.
Every detail is checked against how toddler feet actually develop.
In winter, parents reach for boots. But a toddler’s foot still needs to bend and feel the ground. A warm, flexible first shoe is the better everyday pick.

FAQ
Questions parents ask
Are they warm enough for winter?
Yes, for cold days, car rides and short walks outside. The lined knit and plush cuff keep feet warm. For deep snow, use boots.
Can they get wet?
The knit isn’t waterproof. They’re made for cold, dry days and indoors. If they get wet, machine wash and air dry.
How do I pick the right size?
Stand them on paper, mark heel and longest toe, and measure. Pick the size about 0.4 in (1 cm) longer than their foot. Between sizes? Size up.
Will they stay on?
The stretchy collar hugs the ankle, so they stay put through crawling, cruising and car seats.
Is the sole too thin for outside?
It's thin so they can feel the ground, but it's real rubber with grip. Made for floors, yards, parks and sidewalks.
Can I wash them?
Yes. Gentle cold cycle, ideally in a mesh bag, then air dry.
How are these different from regular baby shoes?
Most baby shoes have a stiff sole that does the work for the foot. Ours bends with every step, so their feet do the work and get stronger.
What if they don't fit?
Swap them for another size for free, or send them back within 30 days for a full refund.
How long does shipping to the US take?
We ship to the US only. Orders are tracked and usually arrive within 12-15 days.
Are they good for first steps?
Yes, that’s what they’re made for. The thin sole lets new walkers feel the floor, and the wide toe box gives them room to balance.
Can I mix sizes and colors in a bundle?
Yes. Pick a color and size for every pair. Many parents add the next size up, so it’s ready when they grow.
What if my toddler won’t keep them on?
Most toddlers forget they’re wearing them. If yours doesn’t, our 30-day promise covers it.
Will they arrive before Christmas?
Order by December 5 for delivery before Christmas.
